Shotguns Cal. 28

Pair of Over-and-Under

      • For a passionate client, I recently crafted two bespoke shotguns.

These two shotguns are inspired by an existing 12-gauge model but proportioned for the 28-gauge cartridge.

The process involved meticulous attention to detail, both in terms of mechanics and aesthetics, to deliver firearms that are both functional and elegant. The chopper-lump barrels were assembled by Dany Amand, a gunsmith who previously worked at Holland & Holland and Lebeau-Courally. The forged steel, action frame houses a genuine side-lock system and an inertia single-trigger mechanism.

The English-style "diamond grip" stock, crafted from superb Armenian walnut, features a finely hand rubbed-oil finish that enhances the natural beauty of the wood.

The "Rose and Scroll" engraving, highlighted by the numbers 1 and 2 inlaid on each shotgun, is signed by engraver Julien Marchal.

The beautiful tones of the case hardening add a touch of distinction to these firearms, enhancing their presence with understated elegance. The barrel's bluing adds depth of tone and ensures long-lasting protection. These shotguns were delivered in a leather and oak case crafted by Alexandre Mareuil.
